COACHES: 

We are so grateful for the coaches that step up to guide our players through the season. As an association, we commit to our coaches support throughout the season, as well as to our parents, leaders who will support your children learn the fundamentals of Fastball. 

Leduc Minor Softball Association will provide you with a letter to complete a criminal record check with the Leduc RCMP.

Current Coaching Capacity and Support:

• We offered Level 1 Softball NCCP (Community On-Going Sport) training for our association this season and had 9 additional coaches complete that this season.
• We have offered to host an additional Level 1 Softball NCCP (Community On-Going Sport) this fall and will continue to pay for and support training for all of our coaches.
• We supported 2 coaches in getting their certification status in Softball NCCP Comp Intro and are excited to support additional coaches in completing this training
• We offered in house coaching courses for our coaches, as well as had a coaching support chat where ideas could be shared
• We offered cross support across programs and development opportunities for coaches, where we had new coaches cross train with our more established coaches. Including having multiple have opportunities to fill roles on our provincial teams as a learning experience

Softball Alberta has partnered with Athlete Era to help spread awareness of their practice planning platform for softball coaches.

The platform consists of a mobile and web app to support coaches with practice planning, organization, and delivery. The app has pre-loaded softball content libraries with skill tutorials, drills, and practice plans. It also has a number of tools to help coaches make practice planning, organization, and delivery more efficient.
