Welcome to the 2026 Leduc Minor Softball season. Our Jets family continues to grow and we are so thankful for the engagement of every member of our association and the way that each player, parent, and coach represents us in the game.
We are currently finalizing head coaching for our season. We have success because volunteers step up to lead, so to become a Head Coach, Manager, or Assistant Coach, please apply here:

We will have more information to come shortly on our Learn to play level, but if you have a player in U15 or up and they want to coach at that level, please have them apply as well in RAMP as a junior coach.
IMPORTANT DATES 2026:
April 1- Indoor sessions start (variable schedule, will be input into your RAMP app asap) PLEASE note these will NOT align with the GEMSA dates of play, they are a balance to ensure that each team gets an opportunity to get together prior to the season start
April 27- Outdoor season starts

May 22-24- Leduc Jets Spring Classic (U11-U19) PLEASE NOTE: Leduc Jets teams will likely be playing Friday afternoon (starting at noon), please plan accordingly. You can follow information here: https://www.leducsoftball.ca/
June 18-21- GEMSA Finals
EQUIPTMENT REQUIREMENTS:
All players require a glove, helmet, infield mask, black softball pants, red belt, and a jill. Please note there is a difference between baseball gloves and fastpitch softball gloves. Fastpitch softball gloves have a deeper pocket that are appropriate for the size of balls we use, to help cradle the ball more, rather than pop out. If you have questions about gloves, the staff at Evolution and United Cycle are fantastic at supporting the appropriate glove selection. Helmets must have a cage, chin straps are no longer required.
U9-U19- Players will be provided socks and a jersey to RETURN. Black ball pants, and a red belt are required. Infield masks are required for ALL players for GEMSA play, not just pitchers. Bats, batting gloves are optional items. Leduc Minor Softball provides red socks and hats or visors for all players.
United Cycle has provided a discount code of 10% off of all purchases online or in store can be used multiple times
Evolution Sports Excellence has created discount cards that will be provided at the first week of practice, these are one time use cards

COMMUNICATION:
Please follow Leduc Minor Softball on all of our media sites for information. We will also be sending out emails from RAMP, so ensure you are checking your junk mail! All communications for your team should be through your RAMP TEAM app. For schedules for GEMSA they can be found here: https://gemsa.ca/ but will also be automatically updated in your app. ALL concerns should be written to your team manager AFTER a 24 hour cool down, then will follow our internal policies for handling them.

WEATHER:
Please note, the ball season is extremely short, and very weather dependent. As an association, we will always endeavor to play rain or shine. Always plan to attend games, unless you have received a cancellation notice, games are proceeding. They may get cancelled by an UMP once you arrive, or on your way, but the intent is always to play, even in the rain. There are smoke, lightning, heat, and rain policies that exist at different levels, but until advised otherwise, please attend!
