Battle River Umpires, our local umpire organization are seeking youth and adults who want to support our sport by getting trained as an umpire.
We are thrilled to be hosting a 2 day clinic here in Leduc at the Leduc Recreation Centre April 20-21, 2024!

For any new umpires (first year) - their fee is set to $95 for the 2024 season The cost includes training, rulebook, manual, and insurance for the season.
Level II: $120 (2nd year umpire or more) - i.e. A 4th year umpire not having gone through the Level III program, is still considered a Level II

Umpires get paid $50 per game, plus more if travel is required. We will have 3-4 diamonds operating in Leduc this year, 4 nights a week, so 9-16 games per week. There are 2 major tournaments held here in Leduc, one with 7 diamonds (80+ games), and the other with 13 diamonds (150+games) over a weekend. If you are able to travel, there are numerous other communities that require umpire support
